It’s like Summer 2013 all over again, as Amanda Bynes’ psychiatric hold in a treatment center has been extended after 72 hours to a full two weeks.
After once again exhibiting strange behavior throughout the last several weeks, the troubled star involuntarily entered Las Encinas Hospital on a psychiatric hold on Friday. According to E!, she’ll now remain there for at least 14 more days.
Amanda was placed under the conservatorship of her parents after leaving treatment last winter, but when that ended earlier this year, she turned back to her old ways. Most recently, she was caught trying to shoplift on more than one occasion in New York City, and made shocking abuse accusations against her father on Twitter (which she later denied, saying she only made them because of a “microchip” in her brain).
Although she’s said she wants nothing to do with her parents, Amanda’s mom and dad were spotted visiting her shortly after she arrived in the treatment facility.
