Trouble in paradise? Maybe so, but Nick Cannon’s not the one who said it!
The America’s Got Talent host went on a Twitter rant Wednesday, revealing that he’s never commented on the state of his marriage to Mariah Carey, despite an alleged interview he gave last month admitting that there’s been “trouble in paradise.’
“”Trouble in Paradise” is the dumbest phrase I’ve ever heard! I would never say that sh!t,” he tweeted. But there was much more to it than just that.
“I have personally been absent from social media for the past few months for obvious reasons but I feel the need to finally speak up,” Nick began. “Because my family & I haven’t been forthcoming with personal information, people are quick to paint negative pictures and spread rumours. For the record I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage.”
From there, he went on to express his feelings about Mariah, and give a little idea about where they stand. “What infuriates me most is to hear people slander @MariahCarey . I will forever be in debted to her for blessing me with our children,” he continued. “I will always love her unconditionally for this and so much more. @MariahCarey is an amazing Mother and I trust her wholeheartedly…”
He ended with a final declaration regarding the singer: “I love @MariahCarey and that will never change!!!”
Of course, there’s no direct confirmation regarding the couple’s split, however, all signs over the last few months do point to relationship problems. Meanwhile, Mariah has not commented on the recent reports, and has kept her social media activity work-related.
