One step at a time. Melissa Rivers gave another update on her mom, Joan Rivers’, condition on Wednesday afternoon.

“My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable,” Melissa said in a statement. “Thank you for your continued support.”

Since the Fashion Police host entered the hospital last week, after she stopped breathing during a minor throat surgery, her daughter has been giving regular updates regarding her condition. Joan was originally put into a medically induced coma, and had been on life support as of Tuesday afternoon.

The 81-year-old is currently being treated at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
