Careful what you tweet about Kendall Jenner, people! The reality star is not happy about a recent incident that stemmed from social media speculation…and she’s demanding an apology.
Last week, a New York City waitress named Blaine Morris accused the 18-year-old and her friend, Hailey Baldwin, of trying to skip out on their bill in her restaurant. When she chased them down the street, Blaine alleges (via the New York Post) that Kendall tossed money in her face before walking away.
“That horrible moment you chase a Kardashian down the street because she forgot to pay her bill to be thrown money in your face,” she tweeted (and soon deleted) after the rumored incident.
Kendall got wind of the reports going around, and took to Twitter earlier this week to let her fans know that none of it was true. “these rumors r absolutely ridiculous!” she wrote. “I would never throw money in anyone’s face or act that disrespectfully. I was raised better than that.”
Now, her lawyer is in the picture, and sent a cease-and-desist letter to Blaine, demanding a written apology and retraction. The letter called her statements and tweet “completely false, fabricated and defamatory,” and explained that Kendall and her friend “inadvertently forgot to take care of the bill,” but respectfully handed over $40 (on a $33 check) when they realized the mistake.
Blaine has yet to respond to the latest move.
