Someone’s getting into character! Star has learned that Ben Affleck injured his shoulder while on the set of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice on Aug. 9 in Detroit, Michigan.
The 41-year-old was sent home from set after straining his body due to a complicated move using his left shoulder. “It was hurting him pretty bad,” a source reveals. “He’s putting his all into this role and it’s pretty physically demanding. The trips to the gym are two, sometimes three times a day and on set he’s like a machine.”
The star was seen just two days later, filming on the streets of Detroit once again, but the insider says he’s been advised to take it easy for the time being.
“This injury was his first and most painful while shooting,” the source explains. “Ben can act, but has been put on temporary hold from doing any stunts for a few days. That is, until the doctor gives him the OK to start again.”
