Eat your heart out, Juan Pablo! Andi Dorfman got her happy ending on this season of The Bachelorette, and on Monday night, the viewers finally got to see it happy. In the ABC show’s finale, the lawyer chose athlete Josh Murray, and he reciprocated his feelings by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.
At the After the Final Rose special, the pair still seemed giddy and in love, and couldn’t keep their hands off one another! When asked to address the recent pregnancy rumors, Andi admitted that they’re not quite there yet, although Josh joked that he’s “trying.”
After the show, the 27-year-old took to Instagram to finally make the engagement announcement official. “Finally able to shout it from the rooftops!! Amazing season, amazing guy! One lucky girl. I love you more than you will ever know @joshmurray11,” she captioned a photo of the pair. Josh added his own sentiment, writing on his page, “Meet my beautiful fiancé and the love of my life@andi_dorfman … I’ve waited 29 years to find her and it’s been well worth the wait! God is soooooo great! #VeryBlessed #ForeverKindOfLove.”
It wasn’t a happy ending for everyone, though. In the finale, Andi chose to let runner-up, Nick Viall, go before the final rose ceremony, to avoid the whole process of having him pick out an engagement ring only to be rejected. After months without contact, Nick finally got a chance to confront the reality star on After the Final Rose, and called her out for making love with him in the Fantasy Suite.
The revelation on live television shocked Andi and the audience, leaving tension in the room for the remainder of their one-on-one.
Surprisingly, the identity of next season’s Bachelor was not revealed at the after show, but fans can tune into Bachelor in Paradise, premiering Aug. 4, to continue getting their fix!
