Family may not be the only reason Freddie Prinze Jr. has taken a step back from acting! In a new interview with ABC News, the 38-year-old revealed that working with Kiefer Sutherland on 24 in 2010 made him want to leave the industry completely!
“I did 24, it was terrible,” he admitted. “I hated every moment of it. Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash, I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped.”
He added that, while working with Kiefer, he was forced to take his shoes off when they did scenes together. “Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time!” he ranted. “You know 6 feet and he’s 5’4″.”
In reality, Freddie didn’t leave the business completely. He guest-starred on Psych, Bones and Witches of East End, and for his latest project, he’ll be lending his voice to Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels.
