No Blurred Lines here!
Robin Thicke is naming his upcoming album Paula after his estranged wife, Paula Patton, in yet another attempt to salvage their relationship. The album includes the song “Get Her Back,” which the singer debuted at the Billboard Music Awards in May.
“Alright, ya’ll, help me get her back,” he told the crowd before the performance.
The “Blurred Lines” singer and Baggage Claim actress announced in February that they had decided to separate after nine years of marriage. The high school sweethearts share a son, three-year-old Julian.
Robin has made several attempts to win back his longtime lady love, including making very public gestures at his concerts, similar to his BBMA plea. Meanwhile, Paula recently told Vanity Fair that she’ll always have a connection to the 37-year-old.
“We’ve known each other since we were teenagers,” she said. “All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there — always was, and always will be. He wasn’t my first kiss, but he was my first lots of other things.”
Paula will be available on July 1.
