Leah Remini "Closer" With Family After Leaving Scientology

If you can’t wait for Leah Remini’s new reality show, her interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday is a good sneak peek! The actress sat down with the talk show host with her mother, Vicki, in the audience, giving viewers an idea of what kind of banter we’ll see between them on the upcoming TLC series.

The King of Queens star famously made headlines last year when she decided to leave the Church of Scientology, and during her sit-down with Ellen, she admitted that the decision was an important one for her family.

“I think now that we’re gone we’re learning new ways to reconnect with each other, so it really has brought us closer together,” she said, of the reality show. “I think we’re stronger and we’re having so much fun together. This is something that the family loves to do. At first I was like, ‘I don’t need 25 people in my house everyday’, but my stepfather and my mother, they love it. And I think that’s a beautiful thing.”

The actress also teased the audience a bit about what we can expect when the show premieres — her mom gets a tattoo! A “tramp stamp,” to be precise!

The reality show will also star Leah’s 9-year-old daughter, Sofia, husband, Angelo, stepfather, George, and her sister and brother-in-law. It premieres this summer.
