On Monday, Adele turned 26 — but it was her fans who got a major gift! The singer revealed, albeit cryptically, on Twitter that she’ll be releasing another album later this year.
“Bye bye 25… See you again later in the year x,” she wrote, with a makeup-free photo of herself giving a “thumbs up” signal. The “Someone Like You” singer named her previous two albums, 19 and 21, after the ages she was when she recorded them, and it looks like she’ll be doing the same for 25!
After a whirlwind year in 2011, Adele took a step away from the spotlight when she got pregnant. She and boyfriend, Simon Konecki, welcomed their first son, Angelo, in October 2012.
No word yet on when we’ll hear the first single from 25.
