Donald Sterling has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA. League commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement in a press conference on Tuesday. The now former Los Angeles Clippers owner will also be fined $2.5 million.

These consequences come after a recording of Donald making racist remarks to his girlfriend surfaced online over the weekend. “Mr. Sterling has acknowledged that it was his voice on the tape,” Adam confirmed.

The 80-year-old will not only be banned from the Clippers facility, but he also won’t be allowed to attend any NBA games or practices. Several celebrities have publicly spoken out about the situation, including Oprah Winfrey, who said Donald has a “plantation mentality.”
