More than four months after his death, Paul Walker is still being remembered. The actor was honored at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, when he and Fast and the Furious 6 costar, Vin Diesel, won the award for Best Onscreen Duo, but there’s someone who reportedly wasn’t too happy about that choice.

“We was robbed,” Ice Cube told USA Today, regarding his performance with Kevin Hart in Ride Along. “Shame on you MTV.” He even went as far as to say that the late actor only won because of fans’ “sympathy” vote.

“We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated,” the rapper added. “For us not to win was crazy. We were the best onscreen duo, period.”

Naturally, he didn’t get the best feedback from this response. Following the criticism, Ice Cube took to Twitter to clarify his comments. “I wasn’t really mad we didn’t win,” he wrote. “So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker. Seriously people! Don’t believe the hype.”

He went on to explain that he felt Paul’s work should’ve been recognized before his death, and confirmed, “I was a fan, too.” The Fast and Furious star died in a car accident on Nov. 30.
