The Big Bang Theory premiered way back in 2007, but star Kaley Cuoco says it took her until the summer of 2013 to start getting noticed in public. It was all due to her brief fling with Man of Steel star, Henry Cavill, who she dated for just a couple of weeks before meeting her future husband, Ryan Sweeting.
“I had no one following me until I met Superman,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and my whole life, I could go anywhere, do anything. There had not been one paparazzi photo of me until, like, several months ago. The recognition was crazy.”
Before the publicity began, the actress definitely led a much simpler life. In fact, she secretly dated her Big Bang Theory costar, Johnny Galecki, for two years before the news came out in 2010, months after the breakup. “It took a minute, a bit of awkwardness,” she admitted, of getting back on set with an ex. “By the grace of God, we became best buddies and moved on in such an elegant way. [He's] one of my closest friends. He was in the front row at my wedding, with a huge smile on his face.”
Kaley tied the knot with Ryan on Dec. 31, 2013, just months after they began dating. “I admit it happened fast, but that’s who I am,” she explained. “When we met, I knew he was the one. [At my wedding], I felt like a rockstar and a badass. What was amazing, in that room, it was so full of love. It was like nothing I’d ever been to before, and it was exactly what we wanted it to be. It was the eighth wonder of the world, the greatest wedding of all time.”
