He’s not going anywhere! Wearing a bright orange jumpsuit, Chris Brown appeared in court on Monday, where he was sentenced to a month in jail following an incident at his rehab facility last week.
The singer was removed from the Malibu facility on Friday after violating three rules: refusal to take a drug test, making a statement that alarmed officials and touching the elbow of a female client. According to the judge, rehab officials reported that the 24-year-old said, “I am good at using guns and knives,” during a group therapy session.
However, his attorney, Mark Geragos, claimed the concerning comment was, “I’m going to ask my higher power to take away my troubles.” He requested that Chris be transferred into a different rehab facility, which the judge denied.
Meanwhile, the troubled star is due in court in Washington D.C. on April 17 for misdemeanor assault charges, stemming from an incident last fall.
