It’s a hard knock life! Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis stars in the upcoming remake of Annie, and a trailer for the film has hit the web.
The movie is a contemporary take on the classic tale, in which Annie lives in an orphanage under the watch of the evil Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz). A wealthy politician named Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx), based off the original story’s Daddy Warbucks, takes the young girl under his wing to help further his campaign, and ends up forming a unique bond with her.
Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale will also star in the movie, produced by Will Smith and Jay Z. The trailer features clips from two of the movie’s most well-known songs, “It’s a Hard Knock Life” and “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.”
