Ahead of Sunday’s Academy Awards, celebs gathered at the Harvey Weinstein Pre-Oscar Party at Scarpella in Beverly Hills on Sat., Mar. 1. Star has the scoop on what went down at the event — from near awkward run-ins, to couples’ PDA and much more!
Exes Harry Styles and Taylor Swift both attended the event, and at one point, a witness says the “Red” singer even looked like she was going to greet the One Direction star. He quickly darted in the other direction to say hello to Jason Alexander. After her failed attempt to play nice, Taylor mostly stuck by friend Jaime King, who couldn’t hide her admiration for Meryl Streep. “She followed Meryl around non stop, to the point where Meryl seemed to be getting a bit agitated,” an insider shares.
Kim Kardashian was also in attendance — and everybody noticed! “Celebrities were literally lined up to say hello to her, and she was eating up the attention,” an eyewitness reveals. Like Jaime, the reality star, who sipped on an alcohol-free drink, seemed infatuated by Meryl, and “followed her around when she could like a little puppy dog.” Kanye West’s fiance also spent some time chatting with Oprah Winfrey, showing off photos (of baby North, perhaps?) from her cell phone.
The PDA was on full force when it came to Heidi Klum and her new boyfriend Vito Schnabel! The duo made out on the outside patio, and were cozied up on a bench for over 30 minutes while the model rubbed the back of his head and kissed his neck. “He was loving the attention she was giving him and didn’t mind the onlookers watching,” our witness dishes.
Models GiGi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Chanel Iman all hung out together at the party. While Karlie jumped up to dance to “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, Chanel was spotted chatting with Michael B. Jordan — and even flirtatiously touched his bicep! The Fruitvale Station star broke out some dance moves of his own when the DJ played “Firework” by Katy Perry, and he even pulled out the moonwalk.
Meanwhile, Sienna Miller displayed some bizarre behavior. While appearing to be very intoxicated, the actress was seen eating cucumbers, which were meant to be cocktail garnishes. Later, she squeezed four limes into her vodka soda so hard that her hands were nearly shaking. “It was very bizarre!” an insider explains. “She was extremely clumsy and ungrateful.”
