This Friday, Liam Neeson will be back in action on the big screen! In Non-Stop, the actor plays an air marshal who receives text messages threatening to put the passengers at risk if the airline doesn’t transfer $150 million to an off-shore account.

Star was at the film’s premiere on Monday at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles, where Liam and his costars, Michelle Dockery and Julianne Moore opened up about working on the film!

Q: What was it like working on the set of this film?

Liam: Well, the movie takes place on a flight, so that means there was only one set, which was nice. It was filmed in New York and I live in New York, so it was nice to sleep in my own bed every night and go to the same set every day and wear the same clothes. It was indoors so we didn’t have to worry about the weather when it came to shooting. It was really just a joy and a lot of fun.

Q: Was it nice to team up with Julianne again in a movie?

Liam: Oh yes, that was wonderful, of course. She is just such a simple person and so talented that you really push yourself to the limit. She inspires you to do that. She’s really great to work with and she’s a dear friend and she did just a spectacular job in this film.

Q: What can people expect from Non-Stop?

Liam: They can expect to be on the edge of their seat for the entire ride. Get a big tub of popcorn, you’re going to want it to calm you down. It’s a real thriller.

Michelle: Oh, gosh. Unpredictable. Mystery. Thrilling. Shocking. Action. It’s a real thriller and there’s an element of mystery involved which really keeps you going! Liam’s character, Bill, really surprises you, and the rest of the characters do things you wouldn’t expect. You just have to see it. It’s amazing.

Q: How would you describe your character?

Michelle: My character’s name is Nancy and she’s a stewardess on the flight. On the exterior, you see a nice, sweet, very smiley girl who is very kind to the passengers. But once someone messes with her, her tough side comes out and it’s quite surprising. Her character description was a working class, tough girl, and you see that. You can definitely tell that if she needs to, she’ll step in, and boy does she!

Q: What was it like working with Liam?

Michelle: I mean, that was just incredible. I’ve been watching him since I was young and to be able to act with him was just so thrilling in and of itself. He’s a real icon now, and I always say he’s the alternative James Bond. What he’s done with his career is incredible. He’s a real, true talent.

Julianne: Oh, I love working with Liam and we work so well together that it just almost doesn’t feel like work! He’s so meaningful in his acting and it’s so convincing and believable that you start to really forget that he is Liam Neeson. I think of him as an action hero!

Q: What was it like shooting on one set for the entire film?

Julianne: That was just the most amazing aspect, I think! I was so close to home, about thirty minutes away, and the weather never played a factor, so it was fantastic! It just made everything very simple and very easy.
