Pay day! On Wednesday, a jury declared that Lisa Kudrow was liable for breach of contract in a civil lawsuit filed by her former manager, Scott Howard. Scott, who managed the Friends star from 1991-2007, claimed the actress owed him residuals from her time on the hit show.

The plaintiff was awarded $1.6 million for his economic losses. According to the manager, the duo had an oral agreement that he would receive a 10 percent cut of whatever she received while he was her manager. However, after they parted ways, she stopped paying him, while still receiving pay from Friends re-runs and other projects.

Meanwhile, the Scandal guest star argued that she was under no obligation to pay her ex-manager once they ended their professional relationship.

Despite the unfavorable verdict, Lisa is not giving up.. “The jury’s verdict is merely one step in the legal process,” her lawyer said. “This case ultimately will be resolved at the appellate level. Ms. Kudrow has faith in the judicial system, and she believes that the eventual outcome of this contractual dispute will be in her favor.”
