Things haven’t been easy for Khloe Kardashian lately. In the new issue of Cosmopolitan, the reality star is interviewed by mom Kris Jenner about how she’s handled her split from Lamar Odom.

“I’m not a big “cry on a shoulder” person,” she admitted. “I’m very introverted when it comes to my own stuff. Everyone has issues, and I’m not someone who likes to burden people…That’s just how I am. I hold things in. I don’t know why.”

Of course, her marriage troubles were blown up to major proportions due to the media frenzy surrounding the divorce, which the 29-year-old said did make things harder. “You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t,” she explained. “People hate us for showing stuff and they hate us when we say, ‘Fine, we won’t show it anymore.’ I don’t have any regrets. I wouldn’t change a thing. You learn as you go.”

It wasn’t just the newly-single star who suffered public relationship drama in the Kardashian family this year, though Kris and Bruce Jenner decided to separate, which is a decision Khloe seems fine with. “There was no scandal,” she told her mom. “There was no bad blood. You’re just happier apart. You are nicer to each other now. You get excited to see each other at dinners. It makes me sad that people think Bruce is no longer a part of my life. I talk to him every day! I consider him my second father.”

As for the future, she’s taking it one day at a time. “I live for the moment,” Khloe added. “If you think too far in the future, you might get disappointed or set the bar too low. It sucks at times, but everything happens for a reason, no matter how s—-y your circumstances are. To say where I want to be in ten years…I have no idea. I just know that I want to be happy and smiling.”
