There’s no time to rest for Angelina Jolie! The actress just recently returned to Los Angeles after spending months directing the film Unbroken in Australia, and she was already off on another big trip this weekend.
Brad Pitt’s fiance made a surprise visit to Lebanon, where she visited thousands of Syrian refugee children. The goal of her visit was to draw attention to the displacement created by a three year conflict in Syria, and the kids were among the poorest who were orphaned or separated from their families after fleeing to Lebanon.
“Meeting these children was a heart-rendering experience,” Angelina said, in a statement. “They have lost their families and their childhood has been hijacked by war. They are so young, yet they are bearing the burdens of their reality as if they are adults.”
It was just announced that the 38-year-old will be a presenter at the Academy Awards next Sunday.
