Slowly but surely, Shayne Lamas is making strides toward recovery. The Bachelor alum was released from the hospital’s intensive care unit on Thursday, a week and a half after she was hospitalized for an intense pregnancy complication.
“Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers,” she said in a statement. “I’ve cried reading the generosity and warmth from everyone. I’m out of ICU at Mission Viejo Hospital. I cannot thank the medical staff here enough for not giving up on me.”
The 28-year-old is married to gossip blogger Nik Richie, and together, they have a two-year-old daughter, Press. “Thank you to my father and his wife, my mother, my sisters, my grandmother and New York family, my husband’s family and to my husband for never leaving my side,” she continued. “Nik, your strength can never be measured. I love you.”
During the hospitalization, the 28-year-old miscarried she and Nik’s second child. Earlier this week, the couple revealed that they’d named the baby boy Rex Jagger Lamas-Richie after his death. “To everyone out there, please donate blood,” Shayne concluded. “You can save a life like mine. In loving memory of my son, Rex Jagger Lamas-Richie.”
