There’s still more to come on Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but already, there may be a casting shakeup for next season.
Earlier this season, Kenya Moore was accused by former BFF NeNe Leakes of starting the show’s infamous sleepover brawl. She followed up by trying to make amends with a masquerade ball benefiting the charity of NeNe’s choice…but the plan backfired. Star spoke exclusively with the show’s self-proclaimed “wild card” about the drama, and her plans for the future.
NeNe snubbed you at the masquerade ball — what exactly happened?
I wanted to honor NeNe’s favorite charity as a way to put the sleepover fiasco behind us and move on. So I did this event and raised a lot of money, but NeNe never responded to the invite. She embarrassed me, but I believe she embarrassed herself.
Was Cynthia’s husband, Peter, out of line for confronting NeNe?
These women are so afraid to go against NeNe, and Peter is the only one who stood up and said, “You shouldn’t be behaving this way.” Cynthia didn’t, and she knows she was wrong.
How is the friendship today?
It’s not. I haven’t spoken to her.
Given all the drama, will you be back for next season?
I’d have to really think about it — that’s a tough question.
