For the first time, Idina Menzel will perform “Let It Go,” from the hit film Frozen, in front of a global live audience. The actress will take the stage at the Academy Awards on Mar. 2 to perform the nominated song.

“It’s really happening,” she tweeted on Tuesdsay, after ABC confirmed the news. “I’m singing on the Oscars! Surreal. Thank u frozen family and Oscar producers for this incredible opportunity.”

The popular Disney movie is nominated for Best Animated Film at the upcoming awards show. “Let It Go” also nabbed a nomination, for Best Original Song, but will have some stiff competition against “Happy” (Despicable Me 2), “The Moon Song” (Her), and Golden Globe winner “Ordinary Love” (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom).

On Sunday, Idina joined Frozen cast members Kristen Bell and Josh Gad at the Vibrato Grill in Los Angeles, where she had to start over while performing the hit song after flubbing a line. Let’s hope she has better luck on Oscar weekend!
