Rachel Frederickson stunned viewers and show-runners alike when she showed up to The Biggest Loser finale at just 105 lbs., down 155 from her original weight. The 24-year-old won season 15 of the weight loss competition show, but made headlines for being too thin.

At first, show trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper declined to comment on the contestant’s journey, being that they hadn’t worked with her during the show. However, in an appearance on The Rachael Ray Show, which airs Feb. 13, Bob opened up about what it was like to see Rachel’s transformation for the first time.

“What people don’t understand is, when the contestants leave to go home — they’re in charge of themselves,” he explained. “So I had not seen her until that night and so when she walked out…I was just kind of like, ‘Whoa.’ And I’ve been on the show since the beginning!”

Although his shocked expression during the finale did most of the talking, Bob did his best to explain his reaction. “I was stunned,” he admitted. “That would be the word. I mean, we’ve never had a contestant come in at 105 pounds.”

Meanwhile, Rachel’s trainer, Dolvett Quince, hasn’t said much about the results, but he took to Facebook earlier in the week to address the situation. “Please try not to look at one slice of Rachel’s journey and come to broad conclusions,” he wrote. “Rachel’s health is and always has been my main concern and her journey to good health has not yet ended.”
