The goal for contestants on The Biggest Loser is to lose weight — but some feel Season 15 winner, Rachel Frederickson, has taken it too far. The 23-year-old shocked everyone at the show’s finale earlier this week, when she showed off her 155 pound weight loss.

However, many were concerned that the former athlete only weighed in at 105 lbs., which is considered underweight for a woman of her height, 5’4″. A full day after the big reveal, her trainer from the show, Dolvett Quiche, addressed the situation on Facebook.

“Last night’s Biggest Loser Finale has sparked a huge reaction and I do not want the day to end without addressing it,” he wrote. “Biggest Loser is a journey which has its ups and downs. Please try not to look at one slice of Rachel’s journey and come to broad conclusions. Rachel’s health is and always has been my main concern and her journey is good health has not yet ended!!”

Fellow trainer Bob Harper shared his own message, also on behalf of Jillian Michaels. “Jillian and I want to take a moment to congratulate all the BL contestants on their hard work,” he wrote. “We’re not comfortable commenting on Rachel’s journey because we weren’t her trainers and weren’t given an opportunity to work with her at any point. Any questions about the contestants on The Biggest Loser should be directed to the show’s producers.”

Meanwhile, Rachel took to Twitter herself to thank the show’s viewers. “I want to thank everyone for the amazing support,” she wrote. “It’s been an incredible journey and I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my life.”
