More tests will be needed to determine the cause of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death. The New York City medical examiner’s office announced Wednesday that the late actor’s autopsy results were considered inconclusive.
The medical examiner’s spokeswoman added that there is no timetable for the completion of the autopsy, and she declined to discuss the nature of the tests being done.
Philip was found unconscious in his bathroom, reportedly with a needle in his arm on Saturday. There was also allegedly more than 50 bags of heroin in his NYC apartment, along with syringes and prescription medicine. On Tuesday, police arrested four people who are suspected to have dealt the actor drugs.
The actor was in the middle of filming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 at the time of his death, although he reportedly only had one scene left to film. Release dates for both films have not yet been affected.
