The 2014 Grammy Awards got off to a good start when music power couple Jay Z and Beyonce took the stage together to perform their song “Drunk in Love.” Things continued to go well for the duo later in the evening, when the rapper took home the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award for “Holy Grail.”
After his name was called, Jay took the stage and gave one of the evening’s most memorable acceptance speeches…shouting out to his wife in the audience and their two-year-old daughter, Blue, at home.
“I want to thank God, I mean, a little bit for this award, but also the universe for conspiring and for putting that beautiful light of a young lady in my life,” he said, acknowledging Bey. “And I want to tell Blue, ‘Look, Daddy got a gold sippy cup for you!'”
Well…when you have 18 of them…you probably can actually get away with using one as a sippy cup…
