In less than a month, The Tonight Show will undergo its biggest change in years, when Jay Leno will pass the show onto Jimmy Fallon. The 63-year-old, whose last show is on Feb. 6, announced that his final guest will be Billy Crystal.
Coincidentally enough, Billy was the late night host’s first guest when he took over in 1992. It was also revealed that country singer Garth Brooks will give the final musical performance under Jay’s reign.
After that, the show will move to New York City, with Jimmy at the helm. At the TCA Winter Press Tour, the current Late Night With Jimmy Fallon host opened up about his first guest — Will Smith. “He’s a big Hollywood star,” the 39-year-old gushed. “And he always brings it every time he goes on a talk show.” U2 will be his first musical guest.
Jimmy’s first episode of The Tonight Show will air on Feb. 17.
