Dad is not happy! Kate Gosselin made headlines on Thursday after she brought her 13-year-old twins, Cara and Mady, along for an interview on TODAY…and they completely froze up on camera. Now, once again, her ex-husband Jon Gosselin remains adamant about not wanting his eight kids in the spotlight.
“I was heartbroken watching my children on TV this morning,” he said in a statement. “If Kate wants to do interviews, fine, but it’s completely inappropriate for Kate to try and use our children as her mouthpiece.”
Meanwhile, the reality TV mom has defended herself, chalking the girls’ uncomfortable interview up to “stage fright,” and reiterating that the decision to do the interview together was one that they all three agreed on.
“They need to be in school, playing sports and going to the mall with friends, not giving interviews on national television,” Jon continued. “I love my kids and want the best for them. Hopefully, after today, Kate will think twice about subjecting them to this again. I desperately hope she realizes they need to be free to live a normal life, away from the cameras.”
However, during the interview, Mady admitted that she and Cara would love to do another reality series.
