Things are going well in Emma Watson’s love life! After quietly breaking up with Will Adamowicz over the summer, the actress is now dating rugby player Matt Janney. The couple’s relationship was confirmed with PDA pics from a Caribbean vacation earlier this month, and already, the Harry Potter star has gotten the stamp of approval from her man’s family.
The Evening Standard caught up with Matt’s “second mother,” Coralie Day, who took him in after his own mom died five years ago. “We are thrilled to bits that he is seeing Emma Watson,” she gushed. “We are looking forward to meeting her soon. Hats off to her for finding such a wonderful young man. There is nothing bad anyone could say about Matt. He is absolutely lovely.”
The 21-year-old’s father died when he was just a toddler, and his mother lost a battle with breast cancer when he was 16. He reportedly met Emma after playing in a rugby match for Oxford University, which she also attended for one year, on Dec. 12.
Matt’s family is no stranger to fame, either. In fact, his sister is dating Mumford & Sons rocker Ben Lovett.
