Hilary Duff has separated from her husband, Mike Comrie. The actress’ rep confirmed the news on Friday, adding that they have “mutually decided to an amicable separation.”
Together, the couple is parents to nearly two-year-old Luca. “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives,” the rep continued. “They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son and ask for privacy at this time.”
After the news broke, Hilary took to Twitter. “Mike and I are sitting here,we are so appreciative for all of your kindness& well wishes,” she wrote. “Not an easy day but we’re getting thru it together.”
The now 26-year-old began dating the hockey player in 2007, and they got married in August 2010. They showed no sign of a split recently, and even vacationed to Disneyland together, with their son, in December.
“We braved Disneyland yesterday! Luca’s 1st time…” Hilary captioned a photo of the threesome…and that was just two weeks ago.
