The legal battle continues for Chris Brown. According to TMZ, the singer rejected a plea deal in his assault case from October on Wednesday.

The case’s prosecutor reportedly offered to reduce the charge to a simple assault, rather than the misdemeanor assault charge that the 24-year-old is currently facing. This would mean a less severe penalty, however, Chris’ lawyer, who joined him in court, turned down the deal.

TMZ reports that law enforcement has been looking for any surveillance video that captured the scuffle, and the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer’s lawyer is waiting for evidence to come through before accepting any deal.

Meanwhile, Chris’ probation from his 2009 assault case was revoked following this incident. He checked himself into rehab for anger management at the end of October.
