Jennifer Lawrence is known for being open and candid in interviews, but her sit-down with Conan O’Brien on Wednesday might officially take the cake as her best yet! After sharing that she’d probably be a hotel maid had she not gone into acting (“it’s all my favorite cleaning!”), the 23-year-old recalled an embarrassing experience with a housekeeping staff.
“This is actually really funny,” she admitted. “Somebody, as a joke, bought me a bunch of butt plugs. It’s a long story — I had a copious amount of butt plugs. Tons of butt plugs. All different kinds of colors, and the maid was coming, so I was like, ‘Well, I’ll just shove this under the bed so she doesn’t see all these butt plugs.’ She might not know they are for a joke.”
Well, apparently her hiding place didn’t work out so well. “Then I came back and all of them were brought out on the bed and were in this beautiful display on my bedside table,” she continued. “I think she knew what she was doing. They were under the bed! I wanted to leave a note like, ‘not mine’ or ‘bought as joke.'”
It’s honesty like this (not to mention her incredible resume) that landed Jennifer on Barbara Walter’s list of the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013.
