While Prince William is at home, attending his usual functions and raising an infant son, his brother, Prince Harry, has completed a very different challenge. The 29-year-old reached the South Pole on Friday, after more than three weeks of walking across Antarctica.
Harry traveled with three teams of seven participants each in the Walking With the Wounded trek. The charity walk honored those who have been wounded serving our countries.
After walking for approximately 210 miles, the group, which also included Alexander Skarsgard, crossed the South Pole at 12:28 p.m. local time on Friday. A spokesperson for the charity said all who participated were doing “well.”
“I’m so proud,” Harry gushed. “I’m so chuffed and so privileged to be here with all these guys and girls…what an amazing accomplishment. I think we’ll be having a few whiskies tonight and then everybody’s looking forward to getting home.”
