It’s official. After months of trouble between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, the reality star has filed divorce documents, with plans to change her last name back to “Kardashian” from “Kardashian-Odom.”
The 29-year-old cited “irreconcilable differences” in her papers, and because the couple has a strict prenup, the division of their properties and assets is expected to be easy. She is reportedly not asking for spousal support. As Star originally reported, Khloe has been planning to file for divorce for quite some time.
Trouble started for the couple over the summer, when Star revealed three mistresses who openly admitted to having affairs with the basketball player. Next, Lamar’s substance abuse problems were unveiled, and at the end of August, he was arrested for DUI (eventually, he plead no contest and has been put on 36 months probation).
Khloe waited a few months to see if her estranged husband would get the help he needed, and the couple, who tied the knot in September 2009, were even photographed together after Kris and Bruce Jenner announced their own separation. However, it’s been weeks since she’s been photographed wearing her wedding ring, and the duo attended Jay Z‘s concert separately earlier this week.
