Vin Diesel Honors Fast and Furious Costar Paul Walker

Vin Diesel & Paul Walker

Celebrities have been paying their respects to the late actor, Paul Walker, since his unexpected death on Saturday. But for his Fast and Furious costar and longtime friend, Vin Diesel, it took a few days to find the right words.

On Monday, the action star took to Facebook to honor his friend, who died in a fiery car crash on Nov. 30. “Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now,” Vin wrote, with a photo of himself with Paul, “and the profound impact your full life has had on it, on Us… on me… I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were… on and off screen.”

The actor also visited the crash site Monday, where he spoke to a gathering of fans over a police loudspeaker. “I just wanted to say thank you,” he said. “Thank you for coming down here and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him.”

Investigation on what caused the crash is still ongoing, although police are currently looking at speed as a possible factor. Paul was a passenger in the Porsche, being driven by his friend, Roger Rodas. Autopsies on their remains are expected to take place Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the status of Fast and Furious 7 is still up in the air. After breaking for Thanksgiving weekend, the cast and crew, including Paul, were expected to return to set this week, but naturally, that’s been put on hold for now.
