As if being accused of 39 counts of fraud wasn’t bad enough, two more have just been added to Teresa and Joe Giudice’s list. The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple was indicted on single counts of bank fraud and loan application fraud on Monday.
The new counts come from a mortgage loan obtained by Teresa in 2005, which falsely listed her as a realtor earning $15,000 a month. However, like with the previous charges, the couple is planning on fighting back.
“As she did with respect to the allegations in the original indictment, Teresa intends to plead ‘not guilty’ to the allegations in the new indictment,” her lawyer said in a statement. “She looks forward to defending herself at the trial, set for February 24, 2014. Beyond that, we will answer all of the charges in court, not out.”
An arraignment for the most recent indictment will be held on Wed., Nov. 20.
