On Monday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars, the remaining five couples will have to impress four judges, rather than just the usual three. That’s because this week Maksim Chmerkovskiy will return to the ballroom as a guest judge alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
The 33-year-old Ukranian was a pro on the show from Season 2 until 15 (sitting out only Season 6), but he announced his departure from the show before Season 16 (last season). However, he did come on the show to help out his brother Val Chmerkovskiy with one dance.
This will be Maks’ first return to the ballroom for Season 17. He’ll be judging two dances from each of the remaining stars, Corbin Bleu, Amber Riley, Jack Osbourne, Bill Engvall and Leah Remini.
