DWTS Elimination Shocker: Elizabeth Berkley Voted Off

Elizabeth Berkley & Val Chmerkovskiy

After Week 1 of Dancing With the Stars, I predicted Bill Engvall would be the first to go based on low scores and, perceivably, a small fan base. Now, after Week 9, the blue collar comedian’s fans have helped him dance his way into the semifinals despite, once again, falling at the bottom of the leader board.

Unfortunately, Bill’s Cinderella story means another contestant had to go home. This week, it was (quite shockingly), Elizabeth Berkley and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy who were eliminated. After a rough week, scoring just 25 points for her Jazz, the former Saved by the Bell star came back to earn 26 points with a Viennese Waltz and a perfect 30 for her trio Salsa. That put her in second place on the leader board, and made her a serious contender for the Mirror Ball, but it came down to fan votes once again.

Along with Bill (who only scored 21’s on both his Charleston and trio Salsa), Corbin Bleu, Amber Riley, Jack Osbourne and Leah Remini. As of now, it seems Corbin is still the favorite to take the trophy, but then again, things haven’t exactly been going the obvious way this season!

Next week, the couples will each perform two new dances to decide which four will make the final round of competition.
