Sharon Osbourne Apologizes For Bashing The View

Sharon Osbourne

The war between The Talk and The View is over…for now. After telling Arsenio Hall that Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy and Whoopi Goldberg can “go f— themselves,” Sharon Osbourne publicly apologized on The Talk Thursday.

“I have to own this,” she admitted during her talk show. “I’m fully responsible for myself — some of the time. And unfortunately, I was inappropriate, and I was trying to be funny at someone else’s expense. It was the ladies of The Talk, we were asked a question about The Talk…”

At that point, co-host Sara Gilbert interrupted, “The View, you mean?

“See?! I’m not well!” the 61-year-old responded. “I’m not responsible, I’m really just a loose cannon.”

She then went on to specifically address the women of The View, minus Barbara Walters, who she previously said she “idolizes.” “Anyway, I want to apologize to Jenny, Sherri and Whoopi, who are all accomplished, self-made women and have amazing careers. They have achieved so much. I mean, Whoopi is an Oscar winner. Who am I to say anything about Whoopi or any of the ladies?”

Sharon concluded by adding, “Please understand, it was my irreverent behavior, and no disrespect was meant. I’m not a person who’s mean, I’m really not. And I apologize.”
