Kanye West Postpones Yeezus Tour

Kanye West

The show won’t go on…for now, at least. Kanye West has postponed the new few dates on his Yeezus tour, after a truck carrying some of the stage equipment got into an accident.

“[On Oct. 30], on the road to Vancouver, a truck carrying the Yeezus Tour’s custom-made video truss and 60-foot circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair,” his team announced in a statement. “This gear is central to the staging of the Yeezus Tour and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA. As a result of the event, it is impossible to put on the show and the Yeezus tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated.”

So far, dates in Vancouver, Minneapolis and Denver have been canceled, although the amount of time it will take to completely repair the equipment is unknown. “Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans,” the statement continued.

More details are expected to be released soon.
