There’s always a fair share of feuds going on in Hollywood, especially when it comes to women, but according to Jane Fonda, the A-list community is mostly supportive of one another. Star caught up with the actress at the Hollywood Film Awards on Monday, where she dished about the apparent competitive nature of the industry, as well as her friendship with Sandra Bullock.
“I would say that most of us [women] stand behind each other and really root for each other, which I love,” she admits. “I just saw Sandra and she is one of my dear friends. It’s nice to know that people in this industry are rooting for you and want you to succeed and vice versa. Sandra’s new film is incredible and she deserves all the praise and more that she’s been receiving. It’s just wonderful!”
Indeed, the Gravity star was also at Monday’s event, and opened up to reporters all about what it takes to look great at such events. “It’s a fabulous team of people who know what they’re doing!” she explains. “I go, ‘I like it, I don’t like it. That fits. That doesn’t fit!’ You just find something that they pull that fits and you can be comfortable in and it can be awesome.”
She also talked a bit about those times when her fashion just goes awry. “I’ve been there plenty,” she says. “And I’ll be back. But the nice thing is, you don’t get dressed to look like an idiot. You figure you’ll take a chance and try something new and if people don’t like it, as long as you like it, who cares!”
