Lady Gaga Responds to Hate Tweets, Releases New Song

Mother Monster has spoken! Prior to releasing her new song “Do What U Want” on Sunday, Lady Gaga took to Twitter to address some of the negative criticism she’s gotten since rising to fame in 2008.

“LADY GAGA IS FAT NOW! #DoWhatUWantWithMyBody,” she began, retorting with the same hashtag about reports that she’s a hermaphrodite.

“LADY GAGA IS ON DRUGS! HER CAREER IS OVER! (been an addict for 10years) #WriteWhatUWant My recovery is a daily battle,” she wrote next, adding, “GOD HATES LADY GAGA! #YouCantHaveMyHeart ill always fight for equality, got my own relationship with God.”

Next, the singer responded to comparisons between herself and other pop artists. “APPLAUSE didn’t DEBUT AT #1! KATY IS BETTER THAN HER! #UWontUseMyMind I write for the music not the charts,” she shared, concluding with, “MADONNA HATES GAGA SHES OVER i dont need anybodys permission to be remembered. I will be. Whether they like it or not.”

“Do What U Want” features another outspoken artist, R. Kelly, and is just one of Gaga’s new songs off her upcoming album ARTPOP. Check it out here:
