Someone’s gettin’ Wild! Reese Witherspoon shared the first photo of herself on set of the movie Wild. The film is an adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s 2012 memoir about her 1,000 mile hike from California to Washington.
“Here’s first pic of me as Cheryl Strayed in WILD. So excited to play @cherylstrayed in a movie!” she captioned the pic.
In the photo, Reese wears minimal makeup and a simple t-shirt while carrying a giant pack on her back. She gives off a nervous expression as she gets ready to face the daunting challenge in front of her character.
The best-selling author also shared the photo on her Twitter page. “The first photo of Reese Witherspoon as me in 1995! Crazy beautiful amazing to see this.,” she wrote.
Recently, the Mud star has been sharing her journey as she’s prepped for the film. Three weeks ago, she had to have fake feet made to mimic the beat up description Cheryl explained in the book. She also uploaded a pic of the hiking boots she’ll wear while filming, as well as a sunset from Oregon, where they’re filming.
