Somebody now owns a pretty big piece of Kim Kardashian — for a price! The reality star’s engagement ring from Kris Humphries was sold at a Christie’s auction in New York City on Tuesday for $620,000.
An unknown online buyer snatched up the Lorraine Schwartz ring, with a 16.21 carat diamond and 1.8 carat side diamonds, which cost $749,000 with Christie’s markup. The six-figure sum, though, is nothing compared to the ring’s reported worth of $2 million.
A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go to a charity that’s yet to be determined.
Kim and Kris married in August 2011, but separated just 72 days later on Oct. 31, 2011. After a fairly nasty divorce battle, the exes finally finalized their divorce this past May. Now, Kim is in a serious relationship with her boyfriend and baby daddy, Kanye West.
