He may be one of the biggest rappers in the world, but Jay Z doesn’t have to stray far from home to get support for his music. In a new interview, the 43-year-old revealed that his 20-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, is a huge fan of his music.
“She’s my biggest fan,” he admitted. “If no one bought Magna Carta, the fact that she loves it so much, it gives me the greatest joy. And that’s not like a cliche. I’m really serious. Just to hear her — “Daddy, song, more Daddy.” She’s genuine. She’s honest because she doesn’t know it makes me happy. She just wants to hear it.”
The rapper also discussed his and wife, Beyonce‘s, decision to trademark Blue’s name. “People wanted to make products based on our child’s name and you don’t want anybody trying to benefit off your baby’s name,” he explained. “It wasn’t for us to do anything; as you see, we haven’t done anything.”
Beginning in November, Jay will bring his Magna Carta World Tour to the United States — will Blue be singing along in the audience?!
