Asbury Park Middle School is one of three New Jersey schools to get a new fitness center from exercise expert Jake Steinfeld, who is currently bringing his Live Positively fitness centers to various places in the country. More than 250 students gathered as Jake and New Jersey governor Chris Christie cut the ribbon, the school’s reward for demonstrating innovative ways to promote wellness and physical activity to students.
“Governor Christie immediately jumped on board and embraced our vision of building a nation with the fittest kids in the world — one school at a time,” Jake said. “He recognizes how important healthy kids are to the future of this great state.”
Jake’s goal is to eventually bring the Live Positively fitness centers to all 50 states.
