Someone is about to turn into a double threat! Blake Lively announced Wednesday that she’ll be launching her own company within the next few months.
“I’m really, really thrilled about [it],” she told Vogue UK. “The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life and how to achieve that. There’s nothing like it out there — it’s without a genre.”
Although she didn’t give specific details, the Gossip Girl star added that her company will focus on her many interests outside of show business. “I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at that I don’t utilize when acting. Acting was something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default, but there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn’t be an actor.”
Blake has recently taken a year-long hiatus, in which she’s been enjoying married life to her husband, Ryan Reynolds. She opened up to the mag about her first, post-Gossip Girl movie (she filmed 2012’s Savages before the show wrapped).
“There’s a movie that I’m really excited about that I’m doing this winter and one of the most enticing parts of it is that it spans from the 1900’s until now,” she shared. “The fashion is amazing, and my character gets to experience all of the different time periods and tell the story through fashion. It’s not a movie about fashion, but it’s an integral part of who she is and the whole story.”
Although we don’t know too much about Blake’s new company yet, it’s already being compared to the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop.
