Three Atlanta schools are being rewarded for their demonstration of innovative ways to promote physical activity and wellness to students. Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, his wife, Sandra Deal, and fitness icon, Jake Steinfeld, stood alongside 350 students from Berkmar Middle School on Monday during a ribbon cutting ceremony for the school’s state-of-the-art Live Positively Fitness Center.
Harper Archer Middle School and C.L. Gideons Elementary School were also rewarded with centers of their own.
“I’m fired up to be at all three Atlanta area schools today to cut the ribbon on their brand new Live Positively Fitness Centers,” Jake said. “Governor Deal embraced our deal of building a nation with the fittest kids in the world — one school at a time. He recognizes how important healthy kids are to the future of this great state!”
