The big announcement Britney Spears made on Good Morning America Tuesday was no surprise — she officially announced her residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The show, titled Britney: Piece of Me, will debut Dec. 27.
However, that wasn’t the only reveal she made during the interview. She also discussed her upcoming, eighth studio album, which is set for release on Dec. 3. “During this album, I had a breakup with Jason [Trawick] that I went through that I wrote a lot about,” she admitted. “Breakups suck, man! They do!”
As the interview got more candid, Sam Champion continued to quiz Brit about her past relationships, including her first kiss. She revealed that she was 13 when it happened, and when pushed for more, she admitted, “It was Justin [Timberlake]!” The duo starred together on The Mickey Mouse Club and later reunited and dated from 1999-2002.
Besides her relationships, the “Work Bitch” singer also discussed Miley Cyrus, who is currently growing up in the spotlight just like Britney did herself. “I think that anytime you do a performance that is that memorable you’re going to have criticism,” she said of the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s VMA performance. “She’s just doing her thing, so I give props to her.” Britney is featured on the track “SMS (Bangerz)” on Miley’s upcoming album Bangerz.
Tickets for Brit’s Vegas show go on sale Sept. 20.
